We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Estimator / Sales Representative who can confidently meet with customers, prepare accurate estimates, and close projects while maintaining excellent communication from start to finish.
The Estimator / Sales Representative is responsible for meeting with prospective customers, evaluating project needs, preparing accurate fencing estimates, and converting leads into signed contracts. This role requires strong follow-through, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects at various stages.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of field work, customer interaction, and sales, and who values long-term customer satisfaction over high-pressure tactics.
Meet with residential and commercial customers to evaluate fencing needs
Accurately measure job sites and assess materials, labor, and scope
Prepare and present clear, detailed estimates and proposals
Follow up consistently with prospects to close sales
Communicate effectively with customers throughout the sales process
Coordinate with operations/installation teams to ensure smooth handoffs
Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and customer communication
Represent Veteran Fence professionally and honestly at all times
Required:
Proven experience in sales, estimating, or construction-related roles
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage time independently and stay organized
Comfortable using technology (email, CRM, estimating tools)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred (but not required):
Experience in fencing, construction, or home improvement sales
Estimating experience (takeoffs, measurements, pricing)
Knowledge of residential and commercial fencing types and materials
